01 Who we are

Draplo is a small, independent label based in Jaipur, India. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit draplo.in, place an order, message us on WhatsApp or Instagram, or sign up for our list.

When this policy says we, us, or Draplo, it means the team operating the brand. When it says you, it means the human reading it — most likely a wearer, a future wearer, or someone curious about the craft.

02 What we collect

We only ask for what is needed to send you a saree and stay in touch. That looks like:

• Order details — name, shipping address, phone, email, and the items in your bag.
• Payment information — handled by our payment partners (Razorpay, Shopify Payments). We never see or store your full card number or UPI PIN.
• Communications — messages you send us over email, WhatsApp, Instagram or chat.
• Marketing preferences — your email if you join our list, and whether you want SMS or WhatsApp drops.
• Site behaviour — pages viewed, device type, approximate city-level location, and how you arrived.

03 How we use it

To fulfil orders, answer your questions, and quietly improve the experience. Specifically:

• To process payments, pack and dispatch your order, and share shipping updates.
• To handle returns, exchanges, and reweaving requests.
• To send launch news and restock alerts — only if you've opted in.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and repeated cash-on-delivery refusals.
• To meet our legal and tax obligations under Indian law.

04 Who we share with

A small set of trusted partners who help us run the brand — never anyone else. Each one only sees what's needed:

• Shipping partners (Delhivery, Bluedart, India Post) — name, address, phone, order weight.
• Payment processors (Razorpay, Shopify Payments) — payment and basic billing details.
• Communication tools (Gmail, WhatsApp Business, Klaviyo) — the message thread itself.
• Analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) — anonymised browsing patterns, never your name.
• Regulators — only if compelled by a valid Indian legal order.

05 Cookies & tracking

Our site uses a small number of cookies to keep your bag intact between visits, remember your shipping country, and measure which pages people read. You can refuse non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our cookie banner.

We do not use cross-site advertising cookies to follow you around the rest of the web.

06 Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — and equivalent laws if you're reading from outside India — you have the right to:

• Ask us what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that's wrong or outdated.
• Ask us to delete your information, subject to tax records we're legally required to keep.
• Withdraw consent for marketing, at any time, with no friction.
• Nominate someone to act on your behalf if you can't.

07 How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for eight years to comply with Indian tax law. Marketing data is kept only as long as you remain subscribed. Analytics data is retained for 14 months, then deleted automatically.

08 Changes to this policy

If we change anything material — a new partner, a new region, a new feature — we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for active customers, send a short note by email before the change takes effect.
